MERALCO's proposed transmission charges subject to ERC's review and verification
The Energy
Regulatory Commission (ERC) assured that it will undertake the review and verification
of the transmission recovery charges that MERCALCO proposes to collect from
its customers. This is to ensure that the charges will be fair and just.
The assurance was made by the ERC in the light of an application made by MERALCO
on 20 September 2007 to recover the transmission charges. The initial hearing
for the said application was set by the ERC on 07 January 2008 at the ERC Hearing
Room at the Pacific Center Building, San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig
City. It will start at 9:00 A.M. The ERC invites the public to attend the hearing.
