ERC concludes seminar for Luzon CWD officers

The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) successfully concluded the seminar on Consumer Welfare Development for the Luzon Consumer Welfare Desk Officers that was held on August 10-12, 2005 in Angeles City. “ERC is happy to note the high turn out of participants. There were 62 eager participants for this seminar. Consumers can look forward to a better handling of their concerns through these new breed of elite consumer care officers,” ERC Chairman Rodolfo B. Albano, Jr. exclaimed.

The three-day seminar focused on skills enhancement to enable the CWD officers to treat their consumers like a “king”. “The ERC would like to create a crop of CWD officers who are proactive and empowered to act on their own to minimize the necessity of escalating issues to the disappointment of consumers,” Chairman Albano said.

The Luzon participants were the last batch to be trained. Earlier, the ERC conducted the same seminar to the distribution utilities (DUs) from Visayas and Mindanao. Five participants from each batch were selected to attend the trainor’s training course to be held in Manila to ensure the continuous development of future consumer service frontliners.
